If you are a teen, living in the Johnston-Harnett-Wayne county areas of
North Carolina you are invited to try us out.
In Proteens, we focus on
developing each teen. To add to the excitement, we have teens competing with each
other for points. They get points for doing daily devotions, doing sermon outlines,
participating in social activities, coming to Sunday school, witnessing, and
participating in service projects.
You will not want to miss this fun and
excitement if you are a teen. Proteens is open to anyone who will turn 13 during the
school year up to those who are still in High school and are under 20. If you are not a
part of a teen program and live within distance to Unity FWB Church in Smithfield N.C.,
you are invited to come and be a part of this fun.

·
ProTeens Meeting: Milk, Bread, Meat, Fish series to lay the foundation
·
Youth Retreats: Focus will be on equipping the teen for His service
Service Focus for 2011-2012 School Year

projects that meet their interest.
2. Need
to develop new ministries to provide more opportunities for teen as
ProTeens grows.
3. Summer
Program will focus on the creation of a new ministry.
Social Focus for 2011-2012 School Year
Given the current size of the group and the need to build funds, social
activities, other than Youth Retreats, need to focus on low cost,
locally available activities. This is important to provide visitors
more opportunities to attend these activities.
Scope of Activities:
The type of
activities planned for this year are presented in the calendar of events
and are similar to those used in the past by Unity FWB Church Youth
ministries. Your child will receive a detailed calendar prior to the
events as specific activities are scheduled. Please call the Youth
Leaders if there is any question about a specific activity that is
scheduled. This Permission Form covers all activities of durations up
to and including overnight (one-night) outings. A separate Permission
Form will be required for any multi-night event.
Transportation:
Transportation will be provided for all Youth Activities once your child
arrives at Church. In most cases, transportation will be provided via
church van, always operated by an adult with a valid Driver’s License.
In limited cases, the following may occur:
·
Adult Youth
Workers may transport teens in their personal vehicles and be the only
adult in the vehicle
·
Approved Teens
(Senior Peers) may transport other teens in their vehicles with no Adult
Youth Worker present in the vehicle provided prior written parental
permission to do so has been obtained.
Overnight
Accommodations:
The following will be
adhered to during any overnight activity:
·
Teens and
Youth Workers will always be separated by gender for sleeping
arrangements
·
No one will be
permitted in a room reserved for the other gender
·
An individual
Adult Worker will never be alone in a room with only one teen
·
One Adult
Worker may be sleeping in a room with two or more teens
·
On rare
occasions two or more teens may be sleeping in a room where the Adult
Worker is in the room next door
